Department of History

The Department of History of Kanchrapara College, which began its journey along with its General course in 1973 and the Honours course introduced in the academic Session 2002-2003.It was one of the earliest Department of this institution running with day and evening shift.From the very beginning eminent scholars and illustrious professors enriched this Department as faculty members.Today it enjoys one of the largest student strength. The Department regularly organizes tutorial and remedial classes, educational tours, Museum visits, Department seminars, students seminars with active interaction of the pupil and faculty. At present, two full time faculty members along with six State-Aided College Teacher are serving and interacting with students through academic activities.
