Kanchrapara (medieval name is 'Kanchanpalli' or the 'golden village'), which is proud as Lord Chaitanya visited the place in his lifetime (the place is one Kilometre away from the College).
It is the last part of the stretch of civilization of Bengal before British rule and also before the birth of Kolkata, situated in the banks of Ganges. Kolkata is 49 Kilometres away from Kanchrapara and the distance of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose international airport is 40 Kilometres.
