The Department of Bengali of Kanchrapara College is a heritage department. The reputation of this department is well known in the student society. Honours and general course are being taught in this department from the beginning of the college. At present, there are nine teachers in this department. They are all well-educated, experienced and helpful to the students. In addition to reading lessons, teachers help students in various subjects. There are two sections in this department. Honours and general course are taught in the day section. The general course is also taught carefully in the evening section. The department has a rich library. Many students of this department are well established in various fields of life.
